Companies House operates more than one online service. WebFiling is used for company filings, while Find and update company information lets users search the register and manage supported company information.
Follow the official route for the task rather than a third-party login button.

GOV.UK One Login for WebFiling
From 13 October 2025, Companies House requires customers to use GOV.UK One Login to access WebFiling. On sign-in, an existing WebFiling account may need to be connected to the One Login that uses the same email address.
Only one person can connect a particular old shared WebFiling account to a GOV.UK One Login. Other users should create their own access rather than sharing credentials.

Email, password and authentication code
The account email and password identify the user. The company's authentication code is separate and authorises online filings for that company.
Treat the authentication code like a company signature and do not publish or send it to an unverified requester.
A company authentication code is normally posted to the registered office when requested or replaced. Keep the registered-office process dependable so official mail reaches an authorised person.
What can be filed online?
WebFiling supports common submissions such as confirmation statements, accounts for eligible companies and changes to company information.
Some transactions use newer or separate Companies House services as the register and identity-verification programme develops.
Check the filing deadline and service availability early. A login problem on the due date does not necessarily remove the legal deadline or late-filing consequences.
Troubleshooting sign-in
Use the official password or account-recovery process and confirm access to the correct email and second factor. If an old account uses a former employee's email, follow Companies House support guidance rather than trying to bypass the account.
Clear saved bookmarks that point to obsolete pages, but do not disable security controls or share one-time codes. Check Companies House service status and contact details on GOV.UK if the official service is unavailable.
